Extreme Body Modifications

We have all become used to seeing people with tattoos good,  interesting and bad tattoos, but for those who like to push the boundaries and look for a way to be individual and stand out  from the crowd they take body modifications to another level.

Innovative technology and surgical techniques now allow for the insertion of silicone based implants that won’t affect the body’s normal processes.  These modifications stand out in a way that can rival any tattoo. From horns, stars, spiders and clovers, just about any shape can be slipped under the skin to form these unusual head turners.

If you are a business specialising in this do contact us we have some interested members here looking for something similar.

Industrial Piercings

Multi-point industrial ear piercings.  These amazing piercings are the brainchild of Noah Babcock head piercer and branding artist at Evolution Body Piercings in New Mexico USA.

An ‘industrial’ piercing – sometimes called a ‘scaffold’ or ‘construction’ piercing – refers to any two holes connected with a single barbell-style piece of jewellery. These particular examples connect more than two holes, which is why they’re called ‘multi-point’.

Unusual centerpieces in intricate designs, commissioned by the awesome crew at Body Vision to make them from expensive metals such as rose gold and platinum, and inlay them with precious stones. They’re designed to have up to five barbells coming off them, meaning that they can be fixed through the ear at five points. Because the jewellery is made of individual parts, it’s easy to customise.

All the holes are made in the client’s ear during one piercing session. Various sizes are used depending on the size of the ear and usually start off larger to allow for swelling.  This is a very skilful and intricate procedure.

Readers should find a reputable, British-based piercing artist and encourage them to get in touch with Body Vision, via Bodyvision.net, or by calling 001-888-991-2639. They’ll ship this type of jewellery to the UK and they’re always up for discussing designs.

Have you got an interesting piercing – lets have a look – we will show all the good ones.

Human Branding – Scarification

The new name for this extreme body art is Human Branding but more commonly known as scarification, originally and still frequently used in Africa for decoration and to mark the passage into adulthood.

Children have tribal designs cut into their faces, chests, and backs, in order to show they are man enough to withstand the pain without uttering a single noise.  Tribal countries have used scarification as a way of showing what tribe or family they belonged to. These marks are also used to help tribes identify friend or foe.

The technique is slowly making its way across the globe, though in the United States and Europe it typically results in more flat red scars and less raised bumps for a more aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Some people will go to great lengths to stand out in the crowd, which has meant some extreme methods of body modifications over the years.

Gone are the days of standard tattoos or piercings, today there are many new ways to alter the human body in a way that will make it more unique than it already is. Here are some bizarre body modifications.

What are your views on this we would love to hear from you.

Torture Garden

It is our pleasure to welcome Torture Garden as one of our new Business Members. Torture Garden is the worlds largest Fetish and Body Art Club. Torture Garden events Attract large numbers of people, anything from 800 to 2600 plus at monthly events in various London venues and they now have a massive international following.

We are honoured that they want to have a profile here with us at Fetish Freedom.

Alan Pelling and David Wood founded the club in 1990 Alan’s background was as an alternative club promoter and DJ new to London, David was a conceptual art and film graduate who had been going to fetish clubs since 1984. Together they were bored with the existing retro alternative clubs and suburban style fetish clubs. They wanted to create a new kind of radical alternative fetish club that combined progressive and diverse music together with fashion, stage performances, multiple environments and visuals.  since that original concept they have progressed to adding market area’s and hiring great artists to put on amazing performances at their club nights.  All of this and more is now incorporated into one fantastic fetish club.

The first time we went to Torture Garden it was a Torture Garden Birthday party in 1995 or 1996 at the Ministry of sound we did not know what to expect we went with a couple of friends, we found that we just loved the diverse fashion and music vibe that was there at the time, we watched Allen doing his thing on the decks and picked up flyers on the way out – now we were hooked.

The next time we went to the Leisure Lounge in London and it was the first time we had been on our own without any friends to back us up.  We remember standing in the que a little nervous, it is a big thing going to a fetish club without your mates when you are totally new to it all!  We waited patiently in the que and couldn’t help checking out the people – they all looked relatively normal, it was winter and everyone had coats and hats on, we were a little uncertain if we were in the right place at the right venue. Once we got inside we saw people in their fetish outfits and were reassured we were in the right place.  We remember having a great night and getting a CD from Alan.
We then discovered that we did not need other people to go with and have been going to fetish clubs for the last 15 years and having a great time.  When you stand in the que these days outside a venue you have no doubt you are in the right place in fact you almost think you have entered another world or maybe Beyond Thunderdome from a Mad Max movie!

TG’s multi-dimensional events cater for a huge range of open-minded individuals from young fashionable clubber to alternative arty weirdo including burlesque and cabaret to sophisticated SM bondage types. Providing something for every-body from age 18-60+, sexual orientation and gender are of no significance, you are what you are. All of this mix Creates an environment that accepts and encourages individuals to express themselves and when you see so many different types of people it makes you realise how everyone is an individual and how a fetish club is so different to your normal night club.

The events are now very theatrical and a lot of effort and attention to detail is put in to bring the themes to life.
The last time we attended there was a circus theme with clowns running around performing spontaneously in the crowds and midget’s dressed in top hats and tails riding tiny little tricycles.  In another room there was a Burlesque show and I am sure there was a lot of other stuff going on but as usual I was trapped on the dance floor by the excellent music.

Check out the Torture Garden profile back in the business directory, read their history and check out their photos the next event will be at the Debut club in London a really spacious venue and totally suitable for wheelchairs.

Check the whats on calendar for the date.

Will we see you there let us know so we can say hi.

Friday 21st January is National Fetish Day – what will you be doing?

I was wondering if any one else had heard about National Fetish Day?

On Friday the 21st of this month, it is National. Why do this? It’s not just about posing for the sake of it (sorry if this disappoints some of you). It’s about raising awareness of how common fetishes are. This is important as a political statement in the context of the government trying to pass legislation such as that included in Criminal Justice’s Bill (for England and Wales) which make’s it illegal to possess images (including on a computer) of ‘extreme pornography’ (a loosely defined thing which could include some goth fashion pictures not intended as pornography at all). Governments can get away with this kind of thing because they think that only a tiny minority of people are affected by it.

National Fetish Day hopes to show them otherwise.

Marking National Fetish Day doesn’t require wearing full on fetish clothing throughout. Instead, wearing purple has been chosen. This is partly because a lot of people wear purple anyway, so no-one will have to out themselves – but the increase in the quantity of purple clothes around should still send the necessary message. It doesn’t mean you have to wear all purple all over – a single garment in that colour will do.

Anyway, I’m not just here to proselytise, and I’m sure there’ll be plenty to discuss about this, but I figured I should make sure everyone knew about it.

Will you be partaking and what will you wear to support it?

I have only just heard of this so if anyone out there knows more do let us know.

We are growing…

Our business directory is starting to take shape now, we have some great companies in there.  You will soon be able to do all your fetish shopping in one place – Check on the what’s on calendar, read reviews, get your tickets for the latest club event, order your outfit and jewelery, chat and make friends, maybe even book up to have a tattoo or a piercing all right here on Fetish Freedom.

A Wicked Night Out At Club Rub.

What a wicked night out at Club Rub last night. Club Rub is a monthly fetish club held at various venues. Generally the rule is to dress fetish, leather, rubber, PVC etc but last night the theme was Military and everyone entered into the theme spirit whole heartedly. I went as a Soldier girl with micro mini camo skirt matching bra and fetish boots and a plastic bullet belt that barely lasted 5 minutes before it fell apart and was dumped in the bin.

The new venue Basing House seemed small to start with and possibly the Dungeon area was too small for some people but as I am only into dancing and the dance floor was big enough for the amount of people on it, it didn’t affect me! The venue Basing House is a large Pub in Shoreditch it seemed very dark at first and you were walking very cautiously in case you tripped up but after a few minutes your eyes accustomed to the darkness. Lots of people were in the uniform theme, fetish style along with the usual mix of glam and other fetish get up’s. All Club Rubbers are easy going friendly people no attitudes, and there are never any problems at these club nights unlike your usual night club.

The organiser is Kim, we have known her for many years and she always makes every attempt to make the night what you expect it to be and always adds some little innovative touch. Last night it was a close up Magician who was mingling in the crowd producing very good card tricks. Some friends of ours were watching the card tricks – close up and when the magician produced the card they had been thinking off and unexpectedly the guy produced a previously removed pair of his wifes knickers from behind the magicians head – top trick!

There were two separate areas upstairs which Kim had turned into a dungeon area with all the necessary equipment and a couples/chill out room lots of soft seating in a quiet area. Downstairs was a large socialising area, the bar and dance floor.

Resident DJ’s Rob Parish and Irish Pete put on excellent music sets, they must have pulled out all the stops to have such great tunes all through with no warm up rubbish music, they seemed to jam in all the old floor fillers with stuff like Encore Une Fois and Sandstorm which fills the floor without fail every time.

People we spoke to were loving the music in fact I managed to stay on the dance floor for a full 3 hours but I am paying for it today with aching knees and feet! One guy on the dance floor said to me “The music is excellent isn’t it” I said, “yea it’s like the old days” – that always makes you sound ancient when you come out with that one! He agreed and said whilst bending down to rub his knees “My knees are killing me though” He had been out on the floor longer than me and was quite a slim, young-looking bloke so I said to him. “how old are you then? ” he said “42” I told him my age and he said, “gosh you don’t look anything like that in fact I have seen you at Rub lots of times and you’ve always looked the same – (we have been going for about 15 years now) I will always lap up a compliment though! I said “oh it’s all down to exercise, healthy eating and good surgery, by the way I have some Ibuprofen gel in my bag if you want some for your knees” he said, “it’s OK I am on diclofenac and a few other prescription drugs for joint pain and swellings” ( not the recreational kind). The whole conversation was quite bizarre and amusing with the over 40’s talking about their aching bits on the dance floor and the only likely drugs to get used was ibuprofen gel!!

The venue reminded many people of the first Club Rubs that we attended at Florentine’s wine bar ( a similar pub type setting) and with the music being of an excellent standard it really made for a night to remember, everyone we spoke to were enjoying themselves and having an excellent time.

Next month Club Rub is on the 19th of February and the theme is Tartan and Steampunk so time to dig out the tartan mini skirt and fishnets or maybe a tartan bikini decisions decisions – oh what to wear!
